Special alloy steel serves the performance classes that ordinary structural steel cannot reach: high-strength construction steel, abrasion-resistant plates for mining and machinery, fine tool steel and spring steel. We supply high-strength structural grades, abrasion-resistant plate for heavy wear, the tool steels D2 and O1 for cutting edges and punches, and spring steel for parts under repeated load. These materials arrive as hot-rolled plate for heavy equipment and as ground and stripped flat bar where precision matters. They let OEM workshops manufacture dies, punches, drawing tools and crusher wear parts with hardened, predictable properties and complete material certification.
Tool and specialty steels are picked by the die, not by the catalogue: what wears, what cracks, what softens. Our 20 products cover cold-work, hot-work and high-speed grades in bar and flat-bar form.
Cold work: A2 bar in 10–400 mm for stamping dies, and D2 — the high-carbon, high-chromium wear champion — as flat bar 10–300 mm and round bar to 500 mm for blanking dies. Hot work: H13 bar and square section to 500 mm for die-casting molds. High speed: M2 round bar and drill blanks for cutting tools. The D2 round bar and M2 round bar pages list the size ladders.
Parts that wear out choose D2; parts that crack choose A2, the tougher of the two. Dies that see 400 °C+ die-casting cycles belong to H13. Our D2 properties and equivalents guide and H13 buying guide map AISI designations to Chinese grades so your drawing and our certificate speak the same language.
Annealed delivery is standard so you machine before hardening; confirm final hardness requirements at enquiry and the certificate will reflect the heat treatment route. Stocked sizes ship in 7–15 days, flexible MOQ, factory pricing — enquire via the quote form.
