Titanium and its alloys combine a high strength-to-weight ratio with exceptional resistance to corrosion in seawater and to aggressive chemicals, in a form that machines easily into finished parts. We supply the commercial pure grades TA1 and TA2 and the alpha-beta alloy TC4 as plate, sheet and bar. The pure grades serve chemical and offshore equipment, while TC4, with its added alloying elements, is preferred for aerospace structural parts and for medical implants thanks to its biocompatibility. Because it resists pitting, crevice and stress corrosion for long periods, titanium keeps offshore, desalination and marine systems in service for many years.
Titanium buys you a 40 % weight saving against steel and the corrosion behaviour to survive seawater and process chemicals. We stock 20 products in commercially pure TA1/TA2 and alloyed TA4, TA9 grades, as plate, sheet, tube, bar and flat bar.
TA1 pure titanium comes as Grade 1 plate in 600–2000 mm and flat bar in 10–400 mm — the chemical-equipment workhorse. TA2 (Grade 2) sheet in 600–2000 mm serves aerospace components, with welded tube to match. TA4 (Grade 4) bar in 6–150 mm goes into aerospace fittings, and TA9 (Grade 7) sheet with palladium addition handles chemical reactors. The TA1 plate and TA2 sheet pages list dimensions.
TA1 maps to Grade 1, TA2 to Grade 2, TA9 to Grade 7 — same metal, different naming systems. Quotes can reference either; certificates carry both where the standard allows. If your drawing cites a grade that is not on this page, send it anyway: sourcing to order is routine for us.
