Nickel alloys are the peak-performance class, specified where standard stainless steels cannot withstand the pressure, temperature or the aggressive chemicals of the service. Our line includes Inconel 600, 625 and 660, the Hastelloy family and Monel 400 and 500. High nickel and chromium content gives exceptional resistance to both oxidising and reducing corrosion conditions and to hot gases, while retaining mechanical strength beyond the range of ordinary steel. These alloys serve nuclear facilities, chemical reactors and heat exchangers, furnace and hot-gas duct parts, the aviation and rocket industries, and desalination and other seawater features.
Nickel alloys exist for the jobs that kill ordinary stainless: hot acids, furnace atmospheres, chemical reactors. We stock 24 products — Hastelloy, Inconel and related grades in tube, pipe, plate and bar.
Hastelloy B2 tube and plate go into chemical equipment handling reducing acids. Hastelloy C276 pipe and plate serve reactors where oxidizing and reducing media alternate.
